Pregnancy support services are rooted in my work with the nervous system while drawing on my 15+ years of experience as a birth doula and midwife assistant, the latest in clinical research on pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and the human microbiome.
We will begin by clarifying your needs and goals in our work together. Whether you are interested in resolving physical discomforts unique to your pregnancy experience, resolving symptoms commonly regarded as normal during pregnancy, or the desire to address emotional and psychological overwhelm, or simply the desire to be more engaged with the experience of pregnancy to allow you to more fully integrate the experience, we can find work together to create this for you. Regardless of what you are seeking during your pregnancy, our work together will support and guide you to optimizing your optimum health, increasing your resilience, and create more balance and and easier recovery throughout your pregnancy, birth and new family-hood.
Among the many challenges we may address are:
- Physical pains
- Fear about birth
- Making sense of conflicting information
- Making choices to fit you and your family
- Fear about motherhood or raising a child
- Concerns about breastfeeding
- Concerns about change in your identity
- A sense that you want to be more connected with what is happening
Sessions may be held in person or over Skype and last one hour.
