Individual Sessions
Individual sessions may be for one person, for a couple, or for multiple people in relationship.
Jessica currently offers a limited number of individual sessions for touch based somatic work at her home studio in the Brighton neighborhood in south Seattle.
With a passion for helping people with complex and chronic challenges that have been resistant to common resources. Whether mainstream medicine/psychology or alternative therapies have not helped, or have helped some elements of peoples’ challenges but have left other parts feeling left behind, this work focuses on the embodied experiences that have been left lingering. Focusing on embodied exploration to foster more connection with self, other(s), and a sense of more freedom.
Sessions address a broad spectrum of challenges and experiences, including but not limited to:
Struggles with anxiety
Feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm and depletion
Struggles with erotic embodiment as an individual or relationally
Chronic pain
Feeling depleted after being with others
A sense that you aren’t fully yourself
A sense that you know there’s more
Wanting to feel more sexually connected
Wanting to feel more fully yourself in the context of cultural norms you may not connect/agree with
Feeling burdened by family/ancestral/cultural wounds
Challenges as a parent
Chronic health challenges
Working with scars/scar tissue
Overwhelm
Difficulty with conflict, disagreement, or being with others who hold different beliefs than you.
Session Structure
Depending on the focus of sessions and how many people will participate in the session, sessions will be scheduled for 60 minutes, 75 minutes, or 90 minutes. This is something that will be discussed when scheduling.
Sessions are carefully paced so as to not overwhelm, the aim that the work be integrated over the time between sessions, and that steady progress is made in the direction of your intention.
Jessica has a strong focus on work that supports her clients to be able to integrate the work into their embodied experience, as well as into their life and relationships. As such, she is emphasizes collaborating to create clear intentions of the work together, and reassessing after 2-6 sessions, with the potential to pause and integrate work in a different context before resuming the next chunk of work.
